The story of Rèfol Lodge is rooted in family, tradition, and a genuine connection to the mountains.

In the 1970s, our grandfather built this house when Pur — a small rural hamlet — was, and still is, an agricultural area of outstanding natural value, untouched among meadows, woods, and silence.
Back then, our family kept horses here: the surrounding fields were their pasture.
That sense of space, freedom, and closeness to the land still lives in every beam and wooden surface.

Decades later, with the support of our family, the house was brought back to life.
The restoration involved skilled Italian artisans and companies, combining natural materials, modern technologies, and attention to detail.
The result is a home that is almost energy self-sufficient — an eco-lodge where memory, design, and sustainability come together.

The lodge blends two worlds: the spirit of the great American prairie lodges our grandfather once admired while living abroad, and the essential character of the traditional mountain huts of the Ledro Valley.
Two inspirations meet here, where wood and original logs take center stage — nearly all of them from the 1970s, restored and given a new life.
A style deeply rooted in the valley yet open to the world.

The name Rèfol comes from Refolo, an Italian word meaning a sudden light breeze — air that rises for a moment and brings new energy.
It was also the name of our other grandfather’s boat on Lake Garda, which later inspired the Vineria Rèfol in Torbole — a small wine bar that shares the same spirit of authenticity and freedom.

Rèfol Lodge is the latest chapter of that story.
Among the last houses of Pur, surrounded by fields and forest,one kilometer from Lake Ledro and at the foot of the trails leading to Bocca dei Fortini and Passo Nota.
A place to slow down, breathe deeply, and feel part of the landscape.
